SmarterProctoring now offers a live proctoring service which allows students to take an online exam under live supervision for a fee based on the time limit of the exam (see Fig 1). This feature replaces SmarterProctoring's Examity Live Proctoring integration.
All exam session scheduling and rescheduling is done through the SmarterProctoring dashboard from within the Canvas course site. All Live Proctoring exams are monitored by a professionally trained SmarterServices proctor with assistance from SmarterProctoring’s AI technology to help flag testing anomalies. The exam session recording will provide the student's webcam feed which you can review later.
Note: Live Virtual is not available at UMSL due to the student-pay proctoring fee.

Appointment fees are paid by the student at time of appointment creation. Appointments made with less than 24 hours advance notice are not guaranteed; they subject to availability. We recommend scheduling your appointments a minimum of 72 hours (3 days) in advance to ensure a time slot during the exam's availability.
- Refunds will be issued for cancelled appointments.
- No-shows: Appointments that are scheduled, but not attended, will not be refunded.
- Students with extended time accommodations will not pay extra for a longer exam session. Fees are based upon the standard exam time limit. Students with extended time should schedule their start time to allow them their full time to complete before the exam closes in Canvas.
