Enhanced rubrics feature preview

An enhanced rubric experience in Canvas has been made available for courses in Canvas. This is an optional feature that you can enable. Please note that feature options are still in development, and therefore can have unexpected behaviors and changes.

The enhanced rubric experience adds the following features:

• The ability to reorder rubric line items

• The ability to import a rubric using a CSV template

• A horizontal and vertical view of the rubric when assessing students, in addition to the traditional view of the rubric

• Clear markings indicating if an outcome that is associated with a rubric is a course or account/shared outcome.

• Rubric Archiving

Some known current issues with the enhanced rubric experience:

• Inability to duplicate rubric line items

• Issues with the view of rubrics in SpeedGrader, especially with lengthy rubrics/criteria

• The enhanced rubric creation experience is only displayed from the Rubrics course navigation link, not from the assignment page.
