Students may report difficulty installing the Honorlock Chrome extension. When a student reports that they cannot install the HL extension,the first step should be to check for the most updated version of Chrome and to clear cache, then try the install process anew.
If that does not work, ask them to check their existing extensions for other proctoring extensions such as SmarterProctoring or Proctorio. If either is present, have the student remove or disable them. If these removing those extensions does not resolve the installation issue, refer the student to the Honorlock support chat available from their course's Honorlock page or they can visit https://honorlock.kb.help/ to open up a service chat.
