Viewing accessible alternate file formats in Canvas

UDOIT provides students a way to request accessible file formats from directly within Canvas.

  1. In your Canvas course, select the drop down area next to the file you would like to request (See Fig. 1).
    Note: The new file should be available within 30 minutes of your request. If the request is taking longer, it could be due to a poor Internet connection.

  2. Once the alternate file is available, the student will be prompted to either (1) download the new file or (2) open it in a new browser tab (See Fig. 2).

  3. If you are not able to request an alternative format file, please contact your instructor with this help article.
