We are committed to selecting software that will not put students at risk. We also recognize the demand and need for an online flexible remote proctoring solution for busy, place-bound, or remote students that doesn’t require coming to a physical testing facility.
Honorlock has a privacy policy page where you can learn more about their specific policies and to learn more about how they protect data and student privacy.
Have privacy concerns? There are two other possible options:
- Install/uninstall the proctoring browser extension
Students have the option to install and use the extension during the test only. For proctoring tools that require installation of a browser extension or app, each tool also includes a mechanism for uninstalling/deactivating when the student is not taking a test.
Note: Reinstall the browser extension and do the pre-exam checks at least 15 minutes prior to your exam start time. - Testing Center
Students may also have the ability to schedule an in-person exam proctored in an approved Campus Testing Center site.
Note: Testing Centers typically require a scheduled appointment made well in advance. Appointment times are limited to the capacity of the Testing site so scheduling your appointment well in advance is recommended.
