Content & Storage

Canvas Commons

Canvas Commons is a digital library full of educational content that is available only to Canvas users. Commons allows Canvas users to share learning resources with other users as well as import learning resources into a Canvas course.

Canvas Files

Canvas Files are uploaded to a Canvas site or a user's personal Files area. Files can house course files, assignments, syllabi, readings, or other documents, as well as profile pictures and user-specific files. Instructors can lock folders and files so they can only be viewed by direct links or only unlock on a specific date.

Canvas Pages

Canvas Pages are created inside of a Canvas site. Pages can include text, video, and links to files and other course or group content. They can also be used as a collaboration tool for specific users. Canvas keeps the entire history of the page to account for changes over time.

Discover@MU

Discover@MU is EBSCO Curriculum Builder. Available at MU, it enables instructors to bring databases, e-books, and other digital resources from EBSCO databases (EBSCOhost) or EDS directly into your Canvas site.

LibGuides

LibGuides is a content management system for MU's library resources. Use it to curate knowledge and share information, organize class and subject specific resources, and to create and manage websites. Increase the usage of your library's resources and content by showcasing them in LibGuides.

Library Resources

Library Resources integrates with the Libraries' content management system. Work with your Subject Librarian to create or choose existing content from your campus' Library Guides, links to library databases, and E-Reserves. If not customized, Library Resources will display discipline-specific guides and databases from your campus library. [MU & UMKC Only]
