Getting set up for the next semester by Copying VoiceThreads into your next semester's course site

NOTE:  As of May 13, 2023 you do not need to copy your VoiceThreads each semester. Once a VoiceThread link uses deep linking, your VoiceThread links will automatically update in your course site when you copy in content from a previous semester.

NOTE: In order to save steps, follow these instructions in the previous semester's course site. In other words, if you are preparing to copy your Spring 2023 site into your Spring 2024 course site, make the below changes in your Spring 2023 site before copying.

To ensure you are using a deep link, go to a VoiceThread link in your Canvas course and Edit (See Fig. 1).

Figure 1: Editing an VoiceThread link

The URL should look something like this:
https://missouri.voicethread.com/lti/cd6a2004-0de0-487d-a8c-4cfbcad9e09b65f69236183f25d7d32ace45877b9ce23a1bc417

If it does not, follow these instructions to update your link to a deep link.

VT Home, Course View, Individual Link

Create the link from scratch, one last time.
